New Year Travels

On Bonnie’s drive from the Lone Star State to Santa Fe, New Mexico, her first stop was to the home of a client whose closet had an entire section of BLT pieces purchased over the years.  Bonnie said it was a “retrospective of my career!”   It was also a testimony to  Bonnie’s perceptive wardrobe services and the classic, timeless appeal of her collections.

About Santa Fe, Bonnie remarked, “Creativity is the key word for this part of the country.”  She took advantage of the sunny crisp days by visiting sculpture gardens and joining her friends at gallery openings and fabulous restaurants.

She also met with local designers.  She picked up some inventory from local jewelry designer Bunny Tobias.  Clients love her one of a kind, whimsical, finely crafted pieces.

Bonnie left sunny Santa Fe and drove through a snow storm to see a client in Denver, Colorado. She loved the Crawford Hotel, which combines the historic elements of Union Station’s past with the smart luxury guests appreciate today.  It was a fabulous setting.

The BLT Boutique traveled through the Rocky Mountains to clients in Aspen, Colorado, and then drove through the breathtaking canyon lands of Utah.

The tour’s next destination was Las Vegas, Nevada.  Bonnie’s room at the Four Seasons had a view of the Strip.  Unwinding from the day’s work, Bonnie went to Drai’s, where she danced the night away.

“California is like home,” says Bonnie, who moved there from New York to start her business in West Hollywood, where she also lived 15 years.  Expert at mixing business with pleasure, Bonnie worked with her clients, visited with her friends and dined at her favorite restaurants and cafes.  She recommends Luques on Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood, popular with the local talent, including Conan O’Brien, with whom Bonnie had a friendly conversation last time she was there.

Family and clients drew Bonnie to Northern California.  She stayed at the Drisco in Pacific Heights, an elegant hotel amid the sophistication of world class restaurants with sweeping views of the Golden Gate and the Presidio.

Bonnie will head East now, destination home.   But before she gets there, she will stop along the way and tell you all about it in her next newsletter.  In the meantime, Bonnie hopes the new year is off to a good start for all her friends, family and clients.
